NPFL SUPER 4 FIXTURES --Kreed

It’s here again, arguably the biggest pre-season event in the Nigerian football sphere. The Nigerian Professional Football League (NPFL) Super 4, which is a football event that features the top 3 NPFL teams and the winners of the federation cup, in a previously concluded season. The First round of the tournament is scheduled for kick-off on 20^th of January and ends on the 24^th of January, while the Second round starts on the 1^st of February and ends on the 5^th of the same month. This was announced by the League Management Committee (LMC) on Tuesday (12^th January, 2016).

The first round of the NPFL Super 4 will be hosted by Kaduna, Kaduna State and the second round will be hosted by Uyo, Akwa Ibom State, which is coincidentally the home of the reigning Federation Cup champions, Akwa United. It is important to note that all the teams in the Super 4 tournament will be representing Nigeria, in the various continental football tournaments this coming season.

Furthermore, the LMC announced 21^st February, 2016, exactly 16 days after the second round of the super 4 tournament, as the Kickoff date for the new season. The season is slated for conclusion on the 2^nd of October, 2016. Below are the fixtures for the Super 4 tournament.

JAN. 20 (Match Day 1):  Warri Wolves vs Akwa United 

                                           Enyimba FC vs Nasarawa United

JAN. 22 (Match Day 2):  Nasarawa United vs Warri Wolves

                                           Akwa United vs Enyimba FC

JAN. 24 (Match Day 3):  Akwa United vs Nasarawa United

                                           Warri Wolves vs Enyimba FC

SECOND ROUND (VENUE: AKWA IBOM INTERNATIONAL STADIUM, UYO)

FEB. 1 (Match Day 1): Nasarawa United vs Akwa United 

                                        Enyimba FC vs Warri Wolves

FEB. 3 (Match Day 2): Nasarawa United vs Enyimba FC

                                        Akwa United vs Warri Wolves

FEB. 5 (Match Day 3): Enyimba FC vs Akwa United
